First designed in 1904 by Erich Hoesel. This nice example has the bold colouring typical of the breed. Confusion reigns as regards the breed, some call it a Boston, others a Frenchie
(as in French Bulldog),

This delightful elephant figurine
is depicted with an elaborately gilded caparison drape over its back. The minimal colouring of the toe nails, trunk and shading of the eyes and ears lends a regal aura to the overall result. Modelled after the 18th century original by J.J.Kaendler, this particular example
also exudes the 18thC artistic style prevalent for the era.

of an European Eagle perched on a sparsely vegetated, rocky outcrop apparently defending his ground
or about to pounce on his intended prey.
Stylistically it exudes the early 18thC style and artistic mores of the period, which is of course
in keeping with the fact that it is a 19th century edition of an early 18th century model.

This quizzical looking Bolognese terrier, illustrated above and below, is depicted in seated position, looking alert and perhaps asking, 'Where to today?'
Modelled after the 18th century original by J.J.Kaendler, this particular example has nice, bold colouring and sports a rather salubrious moustache.
